If you are like most Pokémon fans, then you already have a fairly clear idea of what type of team you would like to have in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. It could be composed of the usual favorites you have trained in previous entries, or could be composed of new Mons introduced in the last games. However, all this depends on whether these Pokémon are available or not to use in the game you choose, so you ask yourself: Is Regina in scarlet and violet Pokémon?

Unfortunately, the answer is no. Regina is not currently available at Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

There are some reasons for this. The first is that Regina is the evolution of an initial Pokemon of a past generation. These Pokémon have been traditionally impossible to catch in nature, even in the titles in which they first appeared, which means that they can only be achieved by leveling the Pokémon level in their evolutionary line. However, since Rookie and Brigadier are not in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, this is not currently possible.

If you have played previous Pokémon games, this should be a little surprise. The initial Pokémon of each generation are usually only available in that generation. Very few have made available to other generations outside special events and, as such, they cannot be achieved in any way outside trade or the aforementioned events.

Similarly, it is currently impossible to exchange or transfer Regina to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet because Pokémon Home functionality is not available for the title. As such, you will not be able to transfer a Regina that you already have to the game until Pokémon Home can be accessed through Scarlet or Violet.

Will Regina ever added to Scarlet and Violet?

Fortunately, we at least have a window for when players can access Pokémon Home through Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The service is expected to be available for new titles at some time in 2023. It is not the most tight launch window, but it is still one that is not very distant in the future.

In the same way, there is the possibility that Regina or the Pokémon of its evolutionary line will be available through DLC or through a special event in the future. This is because Regina is a very popular and wanted Pokémon, and Game Freak tends to make these Pokémon easily available for players who want to keep them in their collection of usable teammates.
