Gardening Sim Garden Simulator -Equipped with unique systems using physical operations [Developer Interview]
This project is an interview with the developer of the new indie game that you are interested in. This time, we will deliver a mini-interlock to developers Garden Simulator developers released on September 8 for PRODUKTIVKELLER STUDIOS and PCs on September 8.
This work is a gardening simulator as the name suggests. Players can freely design their own garden and harvest and sell the grown plants there. It also features realistic physical operations. It has already been supported in Japanese.
Garden Simulator is being distributed for 1,999 yen.
— First, please introduce yourself. What is your favorite game?
Jonas is a 29-year-old Jonas living near Cologne, Germany. I am a developer, a co-founder of Produktivkeller Studios and CEO. My favorite game is Diablo 2. The development of this work is done by three people, including me.
――Why did this work develop?
JONAS This work is the first collaboration work with German publisher TOPLINE PRODUCTIONS/UNJUST. They brought us a small and relaxing simulation game idea, which was perfect for our development power. For us, it was a wonderful opportunity to become a commercial game developer.

This work will be interesting for those who are satisfied not only for Jonas gardening but also for just planting flowers and plants. It also has a unique system that uses physical operations, for example, you can use wood to create a number of layers.
――What kind of person do you want this work to play?
JONAS This work is a relaxing game for gardening lovers, people who care about plants, and those who like to make a beautiful garden.
— Is there any work influenced by this work?
Jonas No, there is nothing in particular. This work has an element similar to House Flipper, Farming Simulator, and Lawn Mowing Simulator, but it is not directly influenced.
――What had an impact on the development of the new Coronavirus?
Jonas No, we all worked from home, so the development was not affected by the new Corona at all.
